The GIST of It

Group Work

Objective:

Students will prepare an objective summary of today's reading.

Structure:

For this activity, each student will fill out a separate GIST Template (linked below). This worksheet will provide them with a simple summary of the basic facts of each section of the text, as well as a succinct plot synopsis. As students fill out more of these with each act, they will create a reference that can be returned to if the plot becomes difficult to follow again. The GIST Template may be found here:
