Answer

The pelvic girdle is the bony ring below the abdomen that is made up of two lateral coxal bones(hip bones) and a central sacral boe( =a coccyx). The coxa articulate posteriorly with the sacrum at the two sacro-iliac joints. Anteriorly they are connected by a cartilaginous dicat he pubic symphysis joint.

Work Step by Step

The pelvis is the area/space of the body enclosed by the pelvic girdle . The upper bowl-shaped part of the area is called the false pelvis ; the lower part is the true pelvis . These are separated/ connected by an oval pelvic brim. This circumscribes the pelvic inlet through which the head of babies pass on their way out, during childbirth. The pelvic outlet is the opening at the distal end of the true pelvis.
