Metals are objects that contain metallic elements. Aluminum foil consists of aluminum, a metal. It is ductile (deforms with a force prior to fracture), which is a characteristic of metals. Trumpets are made from brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, which are both metals. A bicycle frame consists of steel or titanium. Steel is an alloy of iron, carbon and impurities. Iron and titanium are metals.
