Text for You Summary

Text for You Summary

Text for You is a novel by Sofie Cramer about a young woman named Clara who is still grieving the death of her fiancé, Ben, two years after his death. Ben died one late night after having an intense argument with Clara. To cool off, he left their apartment and went on a drive. However, he was hit by an oncoming car and instantly killed.

After Ben's death, Clara blamed herself, and her life ground to a halt. However, one day, Clara starts texting Ben's old phone number, not realizing that the number has been reassigned to a new owner, Sven. Sven is a successful finance reporter who is also struggling with his grief after the death of his wife. Over the course of several months, Clara and Sven form a connection through their texts, even though they have never met in person. As they get to know each other, they fall in love over a string of text messages. However, their relationship is complicated because they are both still grieving the loss of their loved ones. Still, they have a connection and decide to give their love a try. In the end, Clara and Sven must decide whether they can overcome their grief and find happiness together, if their grief will overcome them, and if they will be forever alone.

Ultimately, Clara and Sven finally meet in person. They are both nervous but quickly realize their connection is real. They spend the day together, talking and laughing, and fall even more in love. At the end of the day, Sven walks Clara to her door and kisses her goodnight. They both know that this is the beginning of something special.

The novel ends with Clara and Sven looking forward to their future together. They have both found love again and are determined to make the most of it. They know they will still face challenges, but they are confident they can overcome them together.
