Clara
Clara is the novel’s protagonist, a grieving young woman who starts sending text messages to her dead husband’s phone number after two years of his demise. Clare and her lovely husband had a confrontation one day, and that night, he left home. Unfortunately, the husband got involved in an accident. Clara had thought that her husband could return home as normal for reconciliation.
Clara spends the rest of her life grieving her late husband. Clara is regretful because she never got an opportunity to apologise to her husband. After two years of grieving, Clara starts sending text messages to her fiancé's phone number, expressing her grief and apologizing for her mistakes. Clara thinks that nobody reads her messages because her husband is long dead. However, the mobile operator assigned her husband’s phone number to a new client. The new client regularly reads Clara’s messages.
Ben
Ben is Clara’s husband, a loving fiance who puts the interest of his family above all things. However, sometimes Ben and Clara get into arguments. In most cases, Ben and Clara reconcile and moves back to normalcy. One day, Clara and Ben get into an argument, and he walks out. Unfortunately, that night Ben gets involved in a fatal accident and dies instantly.
Sven
Sven is the new owner of the late Ben’s mobile number. Sven regularly receives messages from an anonymous grieving woman. The messages are about love and regret. Initially, Sven ignores the messages thinking that whoever is sending the texts is unaware of texting the wrong number. However, with time Sven starts enjoying reading Clara’s message even if he does not know her. Slowly, Sven starts developing an interest in meeting Clara.
