Hi, I'm new to the forum and hoping someone can help me establish whether or not my English grandfather could possibly have been in Auschwitz 111?
He received a tattoo to his left forearm at some point, and having found his WW1 records have since learned this was NOT received during his service in this War.
I have since learned, the only place he could ever have received such a tattoo was in Auschwitz, and probably Auschwitz 111 as he was English.
But, having already served in WW1 (born 1900), I would have thought him too old to have actively served in WW2 also?
So, that's it. Hoping someone can help.
With thanks,
Pete
