Bringing in Technology

In the Day 1 activity "Theme Mindmap," students will use Mindjet, Popplet, or other mind-mapping software to explore the relationship between two themes as they develop throughout the the book.

In the Day 2 activity "Colonialism and Defiance," students will browse an online gallery hosted by the Google Cultural Institute to explore the history of colonialism in Nigeria.

In the Day 3 activity "Purple Hibiscus," students use Google documents to collect and interpret quotations related to purple hibiscus.

In the Day 4 activity "Feminists," students watch and comment on one of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's TEDx talk, "We Should All Be Feminists."
