Similar to "Long Walk to Forever" and "Welcome to the Monkey House," love is presented as troubled and potentially violent. George Murra has left his first wife because a famous actress showed interest in him, and now he is estranged from his son. When the actress leaves him, he attempts to reconcile with his son and get back together with his ex-wife, but his son refuses and goes out to his father's car to get a ride back to his school.
