This book is extremely timely as race relations have reached again a boiling point and many people are contributing to the conversation on race in America. Kendall gives a no holds barred lesson on how the American left gets it wrong when it comes to discussing race and how traditional feminist narratives have not only ignored the needs of POC and the LGBTQ community by focusing on the needs of middle class CIS White women but also at times have directly stood in the way of the progress of these communities.
