"But I did dream."
Guru says this at the beginning of the film. He's told us that his father told him not to dream because dreams do not come true. Guru's story is of defying the odds, even those put against him by his father.
"Are you a fortune teller?"
Guru asks this of Mr. Das, a cloth trader who tells him that he will never work beside him as a trader because he will never get approved for membership. This is Guru's response, as nothing for Guru is impossible with his persistence.
"Who wants to walk? I want to run?"
Guru says this to his brother-in-law when he's upset that Guru hasn't brought him in to consult on the future of Shakti's expansion. Guru feels that he is far more advanced in creating the company the way it must go than his brother in law is able to handle.
