Throughout Book Four, Aristotle identifies different classes within a city. Do these same classes exist today? What different classes do you see today? In your opinion, which of these classes benefit society and which harm it?

Although students will likely have various answers, keep them focused on Aristotle's understanding of class divided by purpose and wealth. They may look at modern classes such as the working class and the middle class, as well as white-collar workers, influencers, and performers. In their discussions of society, they should keep focused on Aristotle's ideas about the benefits of society.
