    Tom's Big Adventure

    Students will act out a key scene in the book.

    Structure:

    In "Drink," Tom Foster gets drunk to relate to other townspeople, which leads to a tense scene. Students will explore the humor in this moment by acting it out themselves.

    Break students up into groups of three and ask to take the roles of Tom, George, and Helen.
