William Carlos Williams: Poems Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of William Carlos Williams's poetry, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

In the Day #1 activity, "Understanding the Modernist Movement" students will use an app to make infographics displaying the Modernist/Imagist elements they notice in the two WCW poems.

In the Day #2 activity, "Two Spring Poems" students will use the internet to research information related to "The Widow's Lament in Springtime" by WCW and "Spring" by Edna St. Vincent Millay.
