This Lesson Plan makes use of the Folger Shakespeare edition of Titus Andronicus.

Of all of Shakespeare's plays, Titus Andronicus is the most violent: there are 14 total violent deaths in the play, plus 6 instances of dismembered body parts (including heads, tongues, and various hands), plus 3 cases of unlawful licentiousness (including an extramarital affair, a rape scene, and a forcible attempt to marry another man’s fiancé), and 1 instance of cannibalism.
