Things Fall Apart Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of Things Fall Apart, students with particular learning disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments.

On Day 1, students may use personal tablets or computers to access the W.B. Yeats poem “The Second Coming.” This activity also requires the internet to access the audio recording of Yeats reciting the poem. Internet access is also necessary for the “Mapping Colonial Nigeria” activity, in order to do research and work with interactive maps. Students will also create digital image files for this activity.
