    How is point of view used in this story?

    Sharp readers may have noticed that technically this story uses third person limited, from the correspondent's point of view, throughout the entire story. However, the point of view often seems more omniscient—the voice assumes, on some level, that all four men share the same thoughts and feelings, that they are bonded together in their attempt to survive. The narrative technically belongs to the correspondent, but he does not feel significantly distinguished from the other men except in VI.
