scientific hypothesis; scientific theory

Work Step by Step

Scientific Hypothesis: The untested explanation about the collected and the principle used for describing and analyzing the natural phenomenon which is used by investigators to explain their observations is said to be scientific hypothesis. Scientific theory: If a hypothesis undergoes wide scrutiny and if the competing arguments get eliminated then such hypothesis reaches a stage and status called scientific theory. A scientific theory is one which is well tested and gets approval from the scientific community with well explained observation. The theories which are greatly documented and supported have a wide comprehensive scope. For example, the theory of plate tectonics explains the origin of mountains, earthquakes, and volcanic activities.
