The postulate 5 of the kinetic theory says that the average kinetic energy of a molecule is constant at constant temperature. If the volume of a gas is decreased then the number of molecules per unit volume also decreases and thus the frequency of collisions per unit wall area also decrease and consequently the pressure decrease according to Boyle's law.
