Chapter 13 - Section 13.1 - Figure 13.4 - Tracts of the Spinal Cord - Page 480: 1

Answer

If it were T 10, there would be no cuneate fasciculus. Below T6 there is no cuneate fasciculus

Work Step by Step

The gracile fasciculus and the cuneate fasciculus are both ascending neural pathways. The cuneate joins the gracile at T6 and forces the latter medially; the former occupies the lateral portion of the ascending posterior columns. The fibers of the cuneate fasciculus end up in the cuneate nucleus of the ipsilateral side of the medulla oblongata.
