Answer

In 2035 Belgium will have the greater population by 5,200,000 people.

Work Step by Step

Both countries used the year 2000 as the base year. Greece had 10,600,000 people in 2000. The population is expected to decrease by 28,000 people per year. Over 35 years, this equates to a decrease of 980,000 people. This gives the projected population of Greece to be 800,000 people by 2035. Belgium started with 10,200,000 people in 2000. They expected a decrease of 12,000 people per year thru 2035. This equates to a decrease of 420,000 people over 35 years. This gives the projected population of Belgium to be 6,000,000 by the year 2035. Belgium will have the larger population. The difference between the two being: 6,000,000 - 800,000 which is 5,200,000.
