What are the Crakers? Where do they come from?
They are a race of unusual, not-quite-human creatures who live with Snowman at the beach. They are very innocent, almost childlike, and have a number of biological dissimilarities to humans. Astute students will have noticed that the Crakers share their name with someone Jimmy knew earlier in his life: Crake is introduced as a sort of godlike creator within the mythology that Snowman has designed for the Crakers. Students should speculate on where the Crakers come from given what else they know about the society in which Jimmy grew up.
