Lord of Chaos is a fantasy novel written by American author Robert Jordan, and was first published by Tor Books on September 15, 1992. The book is the sixth in his Wheel of Time series and was preceded by The Fires of Heaven (1993).

The book follows Rand al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn, declaring amnesty on Asha'man, male channelers, in order to form the Black Tower. Simultaneously, the Dark One has grown in strength and is unleashing climate changes as well reviving the Forsaken Aginor and Balthamel to unleash against Rand and his resistance.

The series has been extremely well received, with SFX stating that it was “A fantasy phenomenon.” New York Times bestselling author, Brent Weeks, stated that "Robert Jordan's work has been a formative influence and an inspiration for a generation of fantasy writers." The book was followed by A Crown of Swords (1996).
