    Students will consider one of the key themes of “The Approach to Al-Mu’tasim” and will reflect on what they think about it in terms of their own view of the world.

    Structure:

    In “The Approach to Al-Mu’tasim,” the protagonist in Bahadur’s novel searches for a man by looking for the qualities that he has left in the people he has met.
