Amy didn't make many changes before she disappeared (except for deciding not to shoot herself), but afterwards, she deviates from her initial plan quite a bit. She spends more money than she had budgeted for, and she decides not to kill herself. The former seems almost out-of-character for Amy, because up until this point, she's seemed infallible and braced for every contingency.
