Olga Tokarczuk is a Polish author and an activist. She is a Nobel Prize winner in Literature and the Man Booker International Prize for her celebrated novel Flights. Olga showed her extraordinary skill through her exceptional writing. Flights, a work of fiction but has the gist of history, culture and, science.

The novel starts with the nameless traveler shares her experiences of traveling. The book has the theme of travel, preservation of the human body, nature and, culture. The narrator shares stories of her life and, readers often get confused in fiction and reality. The writer tells readers true stories related to history like Ataturk's canine reforms of modern Turkey, which the writer considers an evil act against humanity. Chopin's Heart is the story of Ludwika, who smuggled her dead brother's heart Poland to fulfill his last wish.

The unnamed traveler randomly tells her stories that are sometimes confusing if she's telling stories or talking to someone. Sanitary Pad is the story of the narrator telling the facts she always reads on napkin's wrapper. Flights is not a simple read. It gives the readers a rich traveling experience to an unknown but enthralling journey.
