About the Author

Sonia Nazario is an award-winning journalist, mostly known for her work at the Los Angeles Times. She has written about many social issues that the country faces—addiction, hunger, and immigration. She is best known for Enrique's Journey, her story of a Honduran immigrant searching for his mother in the U.S. The story was first published as a series in the Los Angeles Times, winning her the Pulitzer Prize in 2013. It was then turned into a book that became a bestseller.
