Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of Dante's Paradiso, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

In this lesson plan, students will be given several opportunities to use modern technology to engage with Inferno. In the Day 1 Activity "Images of the Afterlife," they will use Adobe Spark to create imaginative advertisements for Dante's version of Heaven. In the Day 2 activity "Prezi Race: Kings, and Saints, and Warriors, Oh My!", they will be asked to create Prezi slideshows as a way of learning more about the people who Dante meets in...
