Denying History Irony

Denying History Irony

Are Holocaust deniers anti-Semites?

Nearly every Holocaust denier claims that the Holocaust is a vast Jewish conspiracy designed to drum up sympathy for the Jewish people, yet they do not consider themselves anti-Semitic. However, even the language they use to assert their denial -- and their denial itself -- is antisemitic.

The Leuchter Report

The Leuchter Report was created by a man with little to no scientific experience (he worked on the devices across the United States used in capital punishment) who illegally and incorrectly collected samples from Auschwitz. Yet, his report is looked at as definitive proof that the Holocaust did not occur.

David Irving

David Irving is neither a trained nor respected historian yet is thought to be credible in his opinions on the Holocaust and World War II in general. Naturally, no genuine historian worth his salt could conceivably deny the Holocaust.

Zyklon B

In his Leuchter Report, Fred Leuchter said that Zyklon B could not have been possibly used to kill people because it is flammable and the areas that were claimed to have been used for gassing were near the furnaces. However, Zyklon B is flammable in concentrations of 56,000 parts per million plus (which is 186 times higher than the concentration that is required to kill people).

The Irony of Denial

There is a mountain of evidence that the Holocaust occurred (including video and photographs, eyewitness testimony, scientific evidence, and written and oral accounts of top Nazi officials), yet some bafflingly still choose to deny the Holocaust.
