    Objective:

    Students will become more familiar with geographical locations in Hemingway's stories and use visual response to interpret verbal descriptions of physical settings

    Structure:

    Begin by dividing students into groups and assigning each group one of the following places which appear in the stories read for Day 3:

    • Mt. Kilimanjaro
    • Harry's camp site
    • Thrace
    • The woodcutter's house in the Gauertal
    • Schrunz
    • Paris
    • The journey from Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul) and Anatolia
    • The Ebro valley ("Hills Like White...
