Something said to be true; a positive statement

canteen

A gathering spot; a snack bar or cafe

caricature

An exaggerated picture or mental image of a subject, usually meant to emphasize or insult certain negative traits

claustrophobia

Intense fear of small places or of being closed in or confined

compassion

Kindness to other human beings

concocting

Creating; making

contemptuous

In a manner expressing distaste or disgust

debris

Litter or pieces of something left over, especially after destruction

discrepancies

Errors or facts which do not subscribe to expected totals

extracurricular

After school; separate from classes and homework

grotesque

Garishly drawn or horrifyingly graphic in appearance
