A Hunger Artist Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of "A Hunger Artist," students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

"Life of Kafka" and "Hunger and Starvation" would both benefit from internet research.

The artistic adaptations project might ask for a wide range of technologies, depending on the artistic form each group chooses. Take advantage of your school's resources as well as those of other teachers in the building and local community partners.
