ThreeEye symbolizes the fact that sometimes things are too good to be true. This is a dangerous drug that at first seems to benefit the user, by giving them powers. However, it soon turns them insane.

Harry's status as the only wizard in the country represents his uniqueness. Throughout the novel, we get the impression that he has a unique perspective on the cases he works on.
Harry Dresden
Harry Dresden is a typical detective figure, who uses his intelligence and skills to solve crimes. He is also somewhat mysterious and impulsive. Overall, Dresden represents the power of the intellect.
Detective work
Detective work is another motif of this text, as wizard Harry Dresden helps out the police department with investigations. Throughout the text, we see him use his detective skills to work out a number of crimes.
