    Kind of Activity:

    Individual Writing

    Objective:

    Students will use their demonstrate their ability to use repetition and sensory details in their own writing while creatively imitating a passage from the text to make it their own.

    Structure:

    Present the following passage from the text to students:

    "Do you see those flowers on that hillside, Ilse? I want to know their names in Japanese. I want to hear Japanese. I want tea that tastes the way tea should taste in my understanding of tea.
