ENG4U0 Social Media Campaign Summative: Instructions:

On your own, you'll be required to create a social media campaign based on a topic from your novel. (See Objectives for more detail.) You should use a minimum of 2-3 social media formats.(To be referenced later) OBJECTIVE: * To grab/hook the attention of the general public because you (as the creator) believe the novel contains relevant themes; main ideas and subject matter that is applicable to the lives we live. (Example: The novel focuses on the role of government and you’d like to do a campaign around the importance of voting) TEACHER NOTE: The campaign and how you arrive at your own objective for it may be a simple process OR may require you to streamline your thoughts like you did when creating your big question. (i.e., identify the subject/topic from the text and then pose questions and think critically until you narrow your focus) SOCIAL MEDIA FORMATS: Facebook Instagram Twitter/X Snapchat TikTok Pinterest Reddit

STEP 2: THE RESPONSE(S) For each of your 2-3 social media formats, you should write a ½ page response that explains your media choices. (Example- Why did I choose to include the phrases and words or imagery I did? Why do I believe these choices would assist with the objective outlined above?) MOST IMPORTANTLY, the responses should reference the text and give examples that link that artistic choices in the social media format and the text. (Example: I chose this wording because in the book, the main character ________ states it at a pivotal time…)
