The paradox of the cashless bank
The dramatic paradox in the entire text is that a bank is cashless! People go to the bank to deposit and withdraw money, and at all times, banks have a running balance to be in business. Ironically, when the robber invades the bank, she is shocked to realize that the bank has no money, and she fails in her attempt to become rich overnight.

When the police come, at last, the hostages fail to comprehend how one person could keep them hostage for several hours without taking any action to defend themselves.

The readers realize that the cops are a father and a son. The older cop is the father of the younger cop. Ironically, the younger cop doubts his father's ability to execute the robbery investigation. The older cop is experienced and has been on service for several years before the son joins him. Therefore, it is ironic that the young inexperienced cop doubts the ability of the older experienced cop.

The satire of the bank robber is that she is a woman aged 39-years old, and she joins crime because of life frustrations. The ability of one woman robber to rob a bank guarded by security personnel is ironic. In most cases, bank robbers are organized groups of men, and they execute bank robbery in groups. Satirically, the woman robber in this story is courageous enough to execute a dangerous bank robbery alone.
