What important lesson do you think in your opinion, did you think Scout taught Uncle Jack about children? This was the part where Scout said the words "h*** and d***" at the kitchen table during supper.

I think that Scout taught Uncle Jack to not make assumptions based on perceived knowledge. She taught him to listen to both sides of the story. Atticus taught his brother to be honest with kids and to explain exactly what concerns him because kids will respond positively when they feel included rather than merely being talked down to.

Thanks Aslan!

No worries!

I think that Uncle Jack learned that he doesn't understand how children behave. Him and Aunt Alexandra have their son Francis to take care of and they don't take care of Scout and Jem because they live very far away. So that's my thought.

Both aunt and uncle do not know the fundaments of taking care of children right. so scout gives jack a lesson that he doesnt understand how to take care of children.
