To Kill a Mockingbird

How could you BEST describe the narrator and her conflicts in To Kill a Mockingbird? Also, since the girl is only six, how does she know all of these big words? She's really little.

Scout is the narrator and main character who begins her story at almost six years old. A rebellious tomboy, Scout has a fierce disposition toward any who challenge her, but at heart she believes in the goodness of people. Scout reacts to the terrible events of the book without losing hope in humanity. Scout reads a lot at home and Atticus's influence allows Scout to have a sophisticated vocabulary at a young age. Scout is also writhing the story as an adult.

Thank you.
