To Kill a Mockingbird

HELP!! please help me to consider the negative and polsitive effects of words and the importance of our understanding the impact our words can have

"There are some words so offensive they should never be spoken or written."

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."

Based on the two agree/disagree statements above, write an argumentative essay on the power of words, using the novel as a source to support your thesis. Consider the negative and positive effect of words and the importance of our understanding the impact our words can have.

I can't write this for you but consider some of words in the novel that you find disturbing. The word "nigger", for example, was commonly used at the time. In the context of the novel, it would be problematic if Harper Lee didn't use it. She had to use this term or her novel would not feel authentic. Certain words and phrases, although disturbing, need to be used to be historically and emotionally accurate for the time period.

I need help to:

The same quote as Shae's quote.

"There are some words so offensive they should never be spoken or written."

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."
