Explain the significance of the following quote: •​ ​“The misery of that house began many years before Jem and I were born. The Radleys, welcome anywhere in town, kept to themselves, a predilection unforgivable in Maycomb.” (pg. 11)

It means that the Radley's kept to themselves: they did not even attend church. This was unforgivable in a small town in the South.
