Whereas justice is supposed to be a dispassionate search for the truth about what is due to every party involved in controversies, the sad reality is that the "justice system" does not work that way. On the contrary, people are all-too-impassioned, full of prejudices and evil suspicions of others who are not like them. This is especially true for those who occupy positions of power.
