Was Morris a bad person in the Valley of Fear?

i need help in this question and need to know if Morris was a bad person or Mc ginty

Morris, as a part of the Scrowers, is also a part of the violence and evil they bring to the valley. When he warns McMurdo about the violent actions the Scrowers have implemented, he is more afraid of repursussions than disapproving of the methods themselves.
