Lily seems to always be looking for a sign to guide her. Is this a demonstration of faith, superstition, or childish thinking?

I think that a sense of myth is woven through this book. The black marry and the various rituals around her bring Lily to a new understanding about life. I think Lily is truly enchanted about her own myth: she sees life differently than she used to.
