Chapter 6: Henry ceases to think so elevated thought about himself for a while in this chapter. What happens to his sentences?

Yes this is oddly worded. The main idea of this chapter is the fact that instead of a manly fight, Henry is struck by the utter terror of it all. His illusions of courage have melted away and all he wants to do is run for his life. He feels that he is about to be eaten by "a red and green monster", the monster of war and death, which these two colors represent. As men around him begin to flee, Henry loses his nerve and runs in terror. Check more out at this GradeSaver link,
