Odysseus is clever as well as a fierce warrior. He displays these traits throughout the story. Consider how Odysseus tricks the Cyclops Polyphemus. Odysseus changes his voice and says that he is “nobody”. Polyphemus is fooled into letting Odysseus and his men into the cave. Similarly, by the end of the story, Odysseus tricks the suitors by being able to make his bow allowing him to kill them with it.
