What's the theme of the short story, "the most dangerous game" by richard connell?

THere is a theme though the story is rather weak in dealing with it. The whole animals feel fear idea is presented through the hunter becoming the hunted scenario. This is an escape story which means its primary focus is to entertain rather than inform or enlighten. I'll take a look for the quotes but suffice to say they are obvious once you see them.
