In the Hunger Games, Katniss has an undying love for Peeta. Is this considered an act?

The truth is that they have loved each other through most of their lives, and in truth, they end up together. The idea of "star-crossed lovers" comes from Romeo and Juliet who were the originals for that phrase. Is it an act? No. The difference is, they do end up together, but there is no happy ending, truly.
