This is a pretty broad question. Both Christian faith and a respect for humanity, Jewish or otherwise, is at the heart of this book. The family knew that Jews would face death if they did not hep them so they faced death themselves by hiding them. Ten Boom reflects on asking the question of what Christ would do in a similar situation. Their faith in God guided their efforts to save lives.
