When Nick told Gatsby that "you can't repeat the past". Gatsby replied, "Why of course you can!" Do you agree with Nick or Gatsby?

I have to agree with Nick. The past really can't be repeated. If one tries, it becomes something entirely different or, at best, a twisted representation of what once happened.
