I always felt that Daisy is being sarcastic here. She refers to their (Daisy and Tom's) "home" as being a positive influence on Jordan. Tom and Daisy's marriage is a sham. Tom's mistress has just disturbed them during dinner. Daisy knows their mansion, while opulent, is no home.
