What stories does the father tell? Why? What can we tell from his stories?

Mr. Walls liked to tell stories about himself. Many of his stories are embellishments and some are just not true. We can tell that Mr. Walls is not rooted in reality. His grandiose stories reflect his grandiose plans that have little substance to them.
